You never know, the economy goes in cycles. I think Presidents get too much credit when things are good, and too much blame when they're not.


Four more years of fear, hate and division.

Vague concepts- fear, hate and division by whom? And against whom?


Four more years of environmental degradation.

Which would be fine if the air and water weren't cleaner now than they were 20 years ago.

Quite honestly, who cares what other countries think of us. They have their own problems to take care of. Take the French, for example. If they had worried a little less about U.S. foreign policy and a little more about importing air conditioners....

I think that's a little too much paranoia. Yes, civil liberties are threatened, but the SS is not coming to take you away.

Whether real or perceived, the Republican party has captured the image of the party of responsibility, while the Democrat party, whether real or perceived, has been tagged as the party of the welfare state. Comments like those above exemplify this- if the kids are sick, or the family unhealthy, in that context, it is the parents' fault, period, end of story.
